Hi, I am Melissa Gutierrez!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a first-generation Mexican American from Texas. I earned my undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and completed my master's degree in social work at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and adults with diverse backgrounds on their healing journeys. As a Latina and bilingual therapist fluent in both English and Spanish, I deeply appreciate the importance of cultural nuances and language in shaping our identities. Your cultural background and preferred language are respected and celebrated in my therapy practice. You'll experience a sense of belonging and comfort, where diversity is embraced and honored.

Life's journey is full of twists, turns, and challenges. Whether you're facing past traumas, navigating life transitions, or seeking clarity and direction, I'm here to provide compassionate support. With specialized training in trauma-focused therapies like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I am dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Together, we'll unravel the layers of your story, uncovering resilience, strength, and hope along the way.

At the core of my approach is also a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow. Through our collaboration, we'll work on cultivating self-awareness, nurturing self-compassion, and empowering you to live a life aligned with your values and aspirations. Your journey towards healing begins here. Thank you for considering me to be a part of your healing journey!
